There is a particular kind of tired that does not come from working too hard. You eat well. You move. You go to bed at a reasonable hour. And still something sits heavy, and you cannot point to what. Shivam, Shreya and Puneet, the three founders of AGN1, each spent years there before they ever met. This is what they found.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

The Founder’s Story

Shivam was going to play football professionally in the UK. He loved the game. But he could not get his eating right, and the weight cost him his place. He did not understand what had actually happened until much later. It came back in his twenties as skin that would not clear, no matter which specialist in Delhi he saw. Creams, treatments, diets. Nothing held. In 2021, he went to an Ayurvedic clinic mostly because he had run out of other ideas. The doctor told him to eat according to his constitution. That was it. Years of it cleared in weeks. The answer had been in his food the whole time.

Shreya was doing her MBA in Spain when she put on ten kilos and could not stop feeling bloated and anxious. So she changed everything. Whole foods, plants, no shortcuts. The weight came off, and she looked well. She still did not feel well. She was eating the salads and the smoothies, all the things that are supposed to mean health, and her digestion had not moved. Eating well and digesting well, it turned out, were not the same thing. That gap sent her to Ayurveda. Not to read about it. She went and trained, and she practises it now. When it finally shifted, it was not dramatic. She just felt lighter

Puneet spent fifteen years building businesses and training teams. Long hours, a lot of flights, and most meals eaten somewhere other than home. Bad digestion, poor focus, and weight that showed up uninvited. He managed it, the way people do, until one night, after a long work trip, when he could not. He came out of that with a very different relationship with food. What stayed with him was not his own recovery. It was how many people around him were carrying the same thing quietly and assuming that was just the price of a full life. So he found the doctors first. The product came after.

They did not know each other then.

They arrived at the same place separately. Personal Nutrition started as a company that made reports. Sixteen doctors, working with us to read a person's history and build them a diet chart of their own. We made fifteen thousand of those reports, and we spoke to the people who received them. The same thing kept surfacing. It was rarely what someone was eating. It was what their body was doing with it. Digestion sat underneath all of it.

The second thing we learned was harder to accept. Planning a diet for one person is difficult. Planning one they can keep is harder still. And a chart, however carefully made, cannot undo years of poor food, long hours and meals eaten standing up. Diet alone was not going to turn anything around. For that you need a good diet and something to work alongside it. A catalyst.

Not a symptom to quiet down, but the ground everything else stands on. Ayurveda calls it Agni, the fire that decides what your body can actually do with what you give it. When it is steady, things settle. When it is not, nothing you try quite works.

That is what AGN1 is. Thirty-three ingredients, each one there for a reason. Ayurveda and functional science together, because we could not see why they should be separate. Every ingredient had to earn its place, and the ones that only looked good on a label did not make it. We reformulated it more times than was comfortable, and it took longer than we wanted. We were not going to put out something we did not believe in.
